This Cookie Policy explains how Tau Balance uses cookies and similar technologies on our marketing website hosted on WordPress / WP Engine.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels. Some are essential; others are optional.

2. Cookies we use on this marketing site

Strictly necessary

  • WordPress session / authentication cookies if you log into wp-admin (operators only).
  • Security and load-balancing cookies set by our host (WP Engine) as needed to deliver the site.
  • Cookie-consent preference storage (so we remember your choice).
  • Visitor identifier cookie (if the Tau Balance Service plugin is enabled) used to operate visitor features and privacy tooling: not for selling your data.

Waitlist and contact forms

Submitting the waitlist or contact form sends the fields you enter (and technical metadata such as IP and user agent) to our WordPress site over HTTPS. That is a form POST, not an advertising cookie.

Analytics (optional)

Google Analytics 4 may be turned on by the site operator (Appearance → Analytics in the Tau Balance theme). When enabled, Google may set cookies / use similar technologies to measure which pages are viewed and how the site is used. Analytics is off until a Measurement ID is saved and tracking is enabled. This package does not ship advertising pixels. Where consent is required for analytics cookies, we will request it before non-essential tracking runs, or keep analytics disabled.

3. How to control cookies

  • Use any on-site cookie preferences control we provide.
  • Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies.
  • Send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. We treat it as an opt-out of sale/share when such activity applies.

Blocking necessary cookies may break parts of the site (including admin access).
